Job Overview:
My Client is seeking an ambitious, accountable and technically minded Business Development Manager to be part of their growth efforts in the Nordics. This pivotal role will leverage their partnerships with leading technology providers, focusing predominantly on ServiceNow and SAP to generate significant, big-ticket deals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong customer-centric approach, ensuring that solutions align with client needs over technological complexity, and have a proven track record of successful high-value deal closures in the IT and technology sector. Their growth ambition in the Nordics will focus on the growing needs of AI, data management & cybersecurity while remaining customer centric and solution focused.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Drive and Customer Focus: Leverage a strong network of contacts to engage senior decision-makers, influencing key stakeholders while focusing on achieving outstanding customer outcomes.
• Action-Oriented Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with my clients ambitious growth goals in the Nordics market, moving at pace and prioritizing impactful action over perfection.
• Relationship and Trust Building: Establish and nurture high-level relationships with existing and potential clients, focusing on long-term partnership opportunities and large-scale projects. Actively manage these relationships to build trust and mutual respect.
• Solution Strategy: Collaborate with partners like SAP and ServiceNow to craft simple yet effective solutions that meet the complex needs of our clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements and challenges.
• Market Awareness and Innovation: Constantly seek to understand market trends and client needs to drive the development of new offerings, positioning my client at the forefront of the technology services industry.
• Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to deal closing and post-sale follow-up, ensuring every step is executed with focus and methodical precision.
• Effective Communication: Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals that clearly demonstrate the value of my clients solutions, ensuring they are straightforward and compelling.
Requirements:
• Prior proven success, of at least 10 years, in business development or sales within the IT and technology sector, specifically handling large-scale deals.
• Established network of contacts and a proven ability to leverage relationships for business growth would be an advantage, especially across government, financial services, energy renewables and enterprise sectors.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and ServiceNow products, with the ability to match their capabilities to client needs.
• Exceptional negotiation and deal-closing skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strategic thinker with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and business growth.
• Ability to travel as needed within the Nordics.
• Fluency in English and at least one other Scandinavian language, preferably Swedish.
